Day 1 : Marrakech – Tizi -n-Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley/Gorges
8-9am pick-up from hotels and riads for 9am departure from Marrakech to Dades Gorge.
Cross Tizi-n-Tichka (highest Atlas road pass 2260m with a stop for views) to visit the Berber village of Telouet. From Telouet continue along the old caravan route to Ait Benhaddou. In Ait Benhaddou visit the World Heritage Site, a spectacular ksour (walled village) that is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimony and well known as the backdrop for many films, including ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Alexander’. Lunch (not included) in Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate and continue to Dades Gorge passing through Ouarzazate, Skoura and Rose Valley that is renowned for its Festival of Roses in May.

Day 2 : Dades Gorges – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga (desert)
After breakfast transfer to one of Morocco’s largest wind-blown sand seas: the Erg Chebbi dunes at the edge of which lies the village of Merzouga. Along the route detour at Tinerhir to see Todra Gorge, where the cliffs are 600m high and only 10m apart as the most narrow point, and lunch in Tinjdadd. Arrive at the dune line, where your desert adventure really kicks off, and ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes to reach a desert camp of Berber nomad tents from where there is a great opportunity to climb a high dune to take pictures of the sunset and sunrise.

Day 3 : Return Camel Trekking – Rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
After seeing the sunrise in desert we ride our camels back to the dune line for breakfast and shower Continue to Ouarzazate via Rissani, with a short stop to visit the souk on market days, and across to join up with the route along the Draa Valley with millions of date palm trees. Overnight in Ouarzazate

Day 4 : Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
After breakfast transfer to visit the World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou and return across the High Atlas to Marrakech.
